Iran actor to join new series

Iranian actor Ramin Rastad is to join new series project ‘Years Far from Home’.

Directed by Ahmad Kavari, the series is to enjoy Ramin Rastad before the camera.

Born in 1972, Ramin Rastad became interested in acting from an early age. He studied literature for three semesters before dropping out to participate in an independent acting workshop.

Finding fame with the series 'The Story of a City ' (2001) and 'Under the Blade' (2005), he appeared in other series such as 'The Rich and the Poor' (2010), 'Tabriz in Fog' (2010), and 'The Mystery of the Shah' (2015).

Rastad took part in a number of movies, including 'M for Mother' (2006), 'Crazy for Leili' (2008), 'The Snitch' (2008), 'Like Nobody Else' (2008), 'Injury' (2010), 'The Billionaire' (2011), and 'Scandal II' (2015).

Produced by Mohammad-Hossein Qasemi, 'Years Far from Home' will depict interesting stories about the two characters of the mother series.

The characters are portrayed by two Iranian comedians Ahmad Mehranfar and Hadi Kazemi.

Azita Hajian, Ehsan Karimi, Giti Qasemi, Hadis Miramini, Azadeh Zarei are also among the cast members of the flick.

Besides appearing in 'Sweet and Sour', Majid Salehi, the director of the new comedy has been in a number of other ifilm series including 'Madineh' and '3x4'.
